Opportunity
The category is ready for an evolution. Existing social media apps have peaked in their current form, with current offerings being iterations of each other. Metrics of engagement have shifted to social worth, and diversity remains a challenge, as the content consumed by the majority is often the same.
Approach
The project began with extensive secondary market research, followed by primary research, including user interviews and surveys for both qualitative and quantitative feedback. We conducted UX activities such as user stories, journey mapping, and competitor analysis. After leading the main phase of product design, I am now supporting the developers to ensure the designs are effectively translated into the MVP. The product will undergo testing and iteration before launch.
Concept
Merror revolutionises social media by merging different platforms. Its core functionality is to aggregate and automatically share digital content—whether read, watched, or listened to—across various platforms into a central feed. This allows users to effortlessly discover what their connections are engaging with.
Visual identity
The consumption of digital content generates unique personal algorithms that embody each user’s identity. Central concepts includes 'reflection', 'intelligence', and 'curation'. Merror serves as “An Intelligent Biographer”, archiving and curating social posts automatically through users’ digital traces.
